Rock Creek Alliance Announces 2005 Lake Guardian Award

At its annual meeting in August, the Rock Creek Alliance presented the 2005 Lake Guardian award to Sandpoint resident, Loren Albright.  The award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to protecting the water quality of our communities and wilderness areas.

Loren was a long-time board member for the Alliance, serving since 1998.  His unending enthusiasm and energy were put to work on many, many projects throughout the years.  He also served as the liaison between the Alliance and Trout Unlimited (TU).  Loren has served as the state and local president of TU and currently serves on its national board of trustees.  This powerful partnership between the two groups has proven very beneficial for the Alliance on many fronts.  Loren recently went off the board, but continues to serve on the Alliance's advisory committee.
